Nursing Care
The nursing staff at River Manor Care Center is selected for their skill, training and compassion.
Under the leadership of the Director of Nursing our dedicated and caring nursing staff are available
24 hours a day to provide supervision, treatment and medication. Close relationships are formed between
residents and our Certified Nursing Assistants who provide personal care assistance and encourage
independence where appropriate. Our nursing staff is dedicated to supporting the quality of life
of our residents by placing individual choice, dignity and comfort on a pedestal of priority.

Ventilator Care & Rehab Program
The pulmonary program offers distinct specialized rehabilitation that is focused on maximizing
pulmonary independence for the medically complex individual. Programs include medical stabilization
and rehabilitation, chronic ventilator dependency management, ventilator weaning and training for
home discharge.

Social Services
The transition to life in a long-term care facility requires significant adjustment on the part of
residents and their families. River Manor social workers begin working even before admission to
insure our residents' proper adjustment. Professionals in our social service department work with
residents, their families and friends to provide support, counseling, discharge planning advice and
other important information. Special translation services are available to facilitate
communication and enhancement of residents and family levels of comfort.

Dementia Unit
River Manor's Dementia Program operates 7 days a week to meet the special needs of this
population and is supported with the active involvement of nursing, food and nutrition,
social services and housekeeping departments.
